• north east NSW group NEFA - radical tactics and presentation but weak on actual industry reform out of native forests, mainly seeks reserves of 'Old Growth'
• Environment East Gippsland led by the irrepressible Jill Redwood on her eco farm
• Otways/Great Ocean Road - Otways Region Environment Network
• Humane Society International (HSI) Australian office very independent, humane and sustainable world for animals, high presentation values, legal strategies etc
• Local independent think tank called Mineral Policy nstitute, with environment and human rights uppermost despite the industry sounding name
• Australian Wildlife Protection Council who publish on the excessive kangaroo cull here and animal rights and welfare native and otherwise
• Cairns & Far North Queensland Environment Centre (CAFNEC)
