A message from South East Forest Rescue, the camp organisers based in the local region on the far south coast dated
July 25, 2005:
Hi tree huggers,
Members of the community and South East Forest Rescue have for the last month held a
blockade camp against the logging of beautiful Wandella State Forest, west of Cobargo, south east NSW. Wandella State
Forest is part of an 18,000 hectare icon forest reserve proposal. This is a critical (and very exciting) time; numbers
are needed to keep the pressure on Forests NSW and the Eden chipmill. See you there!
Directions: Turn west out of
Cobargo (Wandella Rd) opposite the pub. About 5km out, turn left into Yowrie Rd follow this about 7km (the last approx 2km
on dirt) You will find camp on the corner of Yowrie and Brassknocker Rd. Bring warm things, tents, music and food for the
communal kitchen. All welcome. If you need to be picked up from Cobargo, or need more info, call 0427 221 691
or email earthrescue[at]planet-save.com
